During LookMazing’s latest trip to LA, we met up with Liz Brinson of Swirl Girl Army, the winner of our first Who Wore it Best Contest, to film her video feature. Meeting up with our members is one of our favorite things to do and she made our trip ever more enjoyable. We sat down to chat with her at Jena Weir’s gorgeous showroom to learn more about what Swirl Girl Army is and her inspiration behind starting this unique blogger community. Leaving behind a stable 9-to-5 job in pursuit of your dreams is quite a challenging yet rewarding experience and one that Liz has approached with determination and a positive attitude. In addition, we also had the pleasure of chatting with Sidibe (a Swirl Girl and artist) and Jena Weir (owner of Jena Weir Sales and Liz’s great friend).
In addition, we followed Liz to the original Los Angeles Flower Market, a place she frequents to pick up lovely flowers for her floral arrangements. Also, we stopped by the infamous Los Angeles County Museum of Art to have some fun in front of the popular display of street lamps and finished off the day with a visit to Diane von Furstenberg ‘Journey of a Dress’ exhibition.
We love Liz’s bright and ever evolving personal style as well as her passion for her company! In a time where more women are pursuing the entrepreneurial path, we agree with Swirl Girl’s mission of uniting and empowering women and together doing great things. We’re excited to watch Swirl Girl grow!
