There’s something quite refreshing and cooling about the color white, especially during the spring and summer months. With minimalist looks trending this summer, it’s no surprise that a head-to-toe look in all white is becoming the go-to, chic uniform for trendsetters. The challenge is that white is not a naturally slimming color, so the key is to pair together pieces with different textures and complementary silhouettes to create contrast and balance.
Here are four all white looks we’ve put together for different occasions:
The A-line cut of this dress helps create an hourglass silhouette for a more slimming look. Pairing it with a pair of delicate, strappy sandals will keep the overall look feeling light and fresh.
Tucking in a soft, collared shirt into a pencil skirt creates a professional look, but it also forms a clean line. The clean line gives an illusion that you are taller, especially with a pair of nude pumps to further elongate your legs (since there is no break in color at the ankle).
I’ve left the collared shirt untucked to create a more relaxed feel, so pairing it with a slimmer fitting pant will prevent the look from feeling too sloppy. Adding a pair of platform wedges will also further elongate your legs and dress up the look.
This look goes for a boxy, wider top, which will make the lower body look slimmer given the contrast. I’ve also added a statement necklace to add a little eye-catching appeal to the clean look.
