When it comes to blush, it can either be a hit or miss. Apply too much and you can look a bit clown-like, but at its best, it can give you a youthful glow. We’ve broken down cream, stick, and powder blushes so that you can find the perfect blush formula for you. Whether you want a slight just-pinched color or a full on flush, read on to find out!
Powder
For the best concentrated color, look for powder formulas. It also has a long-lasting staying power, which is ideal for those with oily skin or want the color to stay vibrant all day. Apply it with a big fluffy brush to deposit the perfect amount of flush.
Stick
Blushes that come in a stick form are perfect for a no-fuss look that leaves your cheeks glowy and sun-kissed — it’s basically like a beach vacation in a stick. Apply a few streaks of this lightly on the apples of your cheeks and blend it out with your fingertips for a natural look.
Cream
For a healthy sheer glow, cream blushes are your best bet. For tube formulas, it’s best to use your fingertips. For cream blushes in a pan, a synthetic brush is a great pairing since it deposits just the right amount of pigment. Cream formulas are also great to put on your lips for the perfect no-fuss pout.
Tip: If you go overboard, use your foundation brush to go over the edges. Any leftover foundation will blend away any harshness
